Crossbridge Connections

What another Spirit enabled and powerful day of worship! Yesterday was truly a great day of experiencing the presence and power of the Lord as we met to worship Him in His glory! Everything from walking onto the property, to being met at the door, to shaking hands, to praying, to participating in Sunday School, to singing, to laughing, to weeping,  and to hearing the Word of God helped us all to experience the presence of God! What a special time and place to serve our Awesome Lord! I cannot wait until our next meeting to worship together this Wednesday night and to hear from our Lord again!

Oh, and did I say "partcipating in Sunday School?" You are certainly missing out if you haven't joined in a small group where you can connect and share with one another what the Bible says to you. It is in conversation that we all learn and that we also connect with new friends. And let me say this too, no one has to say a word if they choose not to! So if you are a little on the shy side, that is just fine! And no one is called on to read or pray out loud unless you are comfortable doing that!!!

Things are moving along for our Outreach event on Feb. 17 and 18. Pray for our team that is getting things set up:

- Steve West in public advertisement and announcements.

- Scott Landreth in audio/visual and the facility.

- Dawn Cabrera and Deanna Aldridge in Greeting and Concessions

- Joshua Tubbs in Web site adverstising.

- Sam Stuart in Praying for the overall event.

Praise to the Lord that all the concessions have been provided. The monies collected from concessions will be used for our mission trips this summer! Tickets are free but we are allowed to sell concessions as noted in the license for showing the movie.

How can you help?

1. Pray; join with Sam in being part of the prayer effort. There will be designated times of prayer before the showing of the movie each afternoon. Sam also meets at the church every Sunday afternoon for a time of Intercessory Prayer. She would love for anyone to come and pray with her. Please contact her at stuartsam@aol.com

2. Invite and get the word out! Let your friends and neighbors (unchurched and lost should be our 1st and primary focus) know that the movie will be shown and that tickets are free. This is a great way to help someone too that is thinking of a Valentines outing or date that may not necessarily have the money to attend a commercial theatre.

3. Use your gifts to help the teams above by contacting these leaders and offering your help.

Our daily Bible reading is gaining more and more readers who are desiring to read through with us this year! Also Deanna gave me a great idea the other day in that she is reading the OT passage in the morning and the NT passage in the afternoon. What a great way to set up a way to anticipate feasting on the word of God not once but twice in a day!
