Our Purpose

We all have a purpose based on God's Word.
The Great Commandment:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind... Love your neighbor as yourself. All the laws and the prophets hang on these two commandments." - Matthew 22:37-40

The Great Commission
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." - Matthew 28:19-20
We believe the purpose of the church is to glorify God by fulfilling the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). We believe we can best do this by:

Evangelism/Missions
Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our community and throughout the world. Discipleship/Maturity - Helping members develop toward full Christian maturity and train them for effective ministry. To promote personal, spiritual growth and discipleship through Bible teaching.

Worship/Magnification
Participating in public worship services together and maintaining personal devotions.

Service/Ministry
Serving unselfishly in Jesus' name, meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in our Church, our community, and the world.

Fellowship/Membership
Encouraging, supporting, and praying for each other as members of the family of God. Sharing our lives together.


Affiliation.... CrossBridge Community Church voluntarily cooperates with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. We accept the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000 as our statement of faith.
